I take pictures from time to time

An image of presented article text

I became an amateur photographer, probably by accident. Back in 2009, I purchased a Canon camera from my friend, mostly because he wanted to sell it, and I had never had a good-quality camera before. The price was good, so I made the deal.

Since then, I've taken pictures from time to time, and I liked it so much that I decided to switch from a Canon PowerShot to a Nikon D5100 in 2012.

Nikon D5100 Era

I continued my journey by taking pictures of various events, including some architecture, during urban exploration.

Lens: Nikon Nikkor 16-85mm F3.5-5.6G ED VR. Settings: 16mm f/8.0 1/200s ISO 100.

The following is a collection of photos I took during Poland's Independence Day on the 11th of November 2012. All photos taken with Nikon Nikkor 50/f1.8 at 1.8 stops.

Nikon D600 Era

After a few years, I finally switched to the Nikon D600, the first full-frame camera. I took a lot of pictures with this one. I also started doing some indoor photography with the Nikon SB-900 speedlight. I eventually ended up with three SB-900 speed lights, photo umbrellas and a few reflectors.

To operate with three speed lights, I picked up a Pixel King transmitter and receivers. The whole system works perfectly.

Nikon D850 Era

While the Nikon D600 was a great full-frame camera, it has a well-known problem. The shutter mechanism tends to spill oil onto the sensor, leaving images filled with dots. I sent my D600 to a service, and they changed the whole mechanism; it was better, but not perfect. I decided to change the body. Nikon D850 is a perfect choice.

The following is a collection of photos from the Anitdotum Air Show in Poland (2023-2025). Arguably, the best Air Show in Europe, I highly recommend it. I only have a few pictures from 2024 because a thunderstorm hit, and the show was called off after it started.
