Cookie policy
This page explains the cookies and browser storage used by tomkandula.com, the purposes they serve and how you can change or withdraw your choice. It does not cover third-party sites we link to.
Storage we use
The following storage is strictly necessary and is always active:
cookieConsent — a first-party cookie stored for 180 days. It records your cookie choice, including the categories you granted and when.
X-CSRF-Token — a secure, HttpOnly cookie issued when you sign in. It keeps your session valid and lets the server rotate your refresh token.
USER_DATA — browser local storage holding the signed-in profile so the app can restore your session. It is removed when you sign out or clear site data.
articleEditor: — browser local storage used to autosave article drafts while a signed-in author edits. It is removed when the draft is published, discarded or site data is cleared.
Optional categories
The banner offers statistics, marketing and personalisation categories. No optional cookies are set today. If we introduce them, they will load only after you grant the matching category, and this page will list them.
Your choice
You can accept all, reject all or choose each category. Rejecting leaves only the necessary storage above. Your choice is stored for 180 days and is asked again when it expires or when this policy changes.
You can change or withdraw your choice at any time with the Cookie settings link in the footer. Withdrawal does not affect processing that took place before it.
Browser controls
You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings. Blocking necessary storage may prevent sign-in and other parts of the site from working.
